Learning through Print Media - An Experiment in Learning 25th Feb 2019

 Students have to exposed to kind of learning process, so that their thoughts will progress.

One such experiment was done on 25th February 2019, for the first time in Department of Sociology, GFGC, Chikkaballapura. The same had given good results if GFGC, Yelahanka when I (Deepa S.V) had experimented.

Students enjoyed reading their area of interest and learnt a lot.

Online Classes - 2020-2021 Inauguration

  As directed by BNU, Online classes for 2nd & 3rd Year were inaugurated on 1st September, 2020, via Google Meet App. Few Final year students came online to listen the class. With I ntroduction of Syllabus of Sociology of Women , the classes began. As the students came up with lots of network issues and others, they requested for flexibility in the classes. Hence I decided to take the classes via Google Classroom by attaching the video link of my YouTube channel and other external Videos. Even for me also, It was quite difficult to take classes from college, as there was network fluctuations, staff room was full of Faculty and students were coming for admission approval.

World Book Day 2021 - Department of Sociology

  Sharing stories together for just  ten minutes a day  will encourage a love of reading and it’s fun for everyone! You can read together  anywhere and everywhere, from breakfast to bedtime!  In the park, on the train, on the sofa, on a plane – reading and sharing stories can happen anywhere at any time.  World Book Day is a  celebration of reading , authors, illustrators and books. It’s designated by  UNESCO  as a worldwide celebration of books and reading, and marked in over 100 countries all over the world. In the department of Sociology, GFGC, Chikkaballapura, we decided to ask students to read some books and come up with some stories. Two students came forward and made an effort to share a story via voice clip.
