All the students presented their thoughts through seminar. Few had not done due to personal problems. they all did their task on 24th October 2019.

  The title says all. Special Lecture on below topics was arranged by the Department of Sociology. 1) Anchoring & RJ as Career Option. - Shri Sachin K. M Asst Prof & RJ, FM Rainbow 2) Why ENGLISH? - Mr Krishnamurthy M, Asst Prof, Sheshadripuram PU College Not only this, the merit students were awarded with certificates on this day. 20th September 2019. J uniors were also welcomed on this occasion with certificates. The event was presided over by Prof. L Narayana Swamy, Principal, GFGC, Chikkaballapura. Senior Faculty, Dept of Economics, Prof. Bejoy Abraham accompanied. Faculty fiends from other departments attended the event. Asma Sultana, HOD, Commerce & Management, addressed the gathering. Students were very happy to receive certificates and their contentment was literally on their face. Other students were inspired.

Certificate Course in Report Writing - 2018-19

The Department of Sociology @ GFGC, Chikkaballapura, as a part of Syllabus is teaching on Research Methods. Students after listening to few classes, asked for report writing. They wanted to know why it is called as skill. Hence, after this, as a Teaching and also a researcher I felt that students must be offered with little training on REPORT WRITING. Hence, the Department of Sociology, under the Headship of Smt Deepa S V, thought of offering CERTIFICATE COURSE in REPORT WRITING. Students also showed lot of interest. Hence, all final year Sociology joined for the course. The internal training started from Feb 1st Week of 2019 to Mid Week of March 2019. It was designed that, we will be going for PILOT STUDY to a village. All the students preferred to write report on that village and its socio-economic-cultural aspects. on 25th March 2019 , Dr DoddaHanumaiah B.H, Associate Prof, Dept of Sociology, GFGC, Hoskote was invited for special lecture, after 30 hours of internal training (By...

Voters Day 2020

  On 23rd January 2020, Voters' Day was celebrated at GFGC, Chikkaballapura. Senior Faculty, Prof. Sujatha K, Dept of Kannada, Deepa S.V. Asst Prof, Dept of Sociology and Tajunnisa, Asst Prof, Dept of Kannada, were in charge of organizing the various competitions as directed by Principal. Students showed lot of Interest in participating in the event. Competitions like Quiz, Essay Writing, Skit Performance were organized.
